Automated assembly technology solutions for mobile phones, tablets and electronic products


Electronic products such as mobile phones and tablets require multiple processes, come in various forms, and are suitable for many varieties. Therefore, the cell line composed of intelligent assembly workstations is the most suitable automated assembly solution, and it is also in line with the current trend of converting large production lines to cell line production.

The front end uses labor or equipment to allocate the accessories required for each mobile phone assembly to each jig. In addition, each workstation can also be configured with limited supplies to solve the problem of multiple accessories required in assembly.


The traditional automated production line is a series of various automated equipment. Each equipment performs a single action, which is the concept of large production lines that was commonly practiced in the past. Corresponding to the previous concept of manual assembly in large production lines.

 

But the biggest problem is poor flexibility, difficulty in introduction, and poor ability to adapt to different products.

 

The current concept is in line with the customer's concept of converting to a Cell line, that is, each Cell does not have many people, but one Cell can assemble the entire process. In order to adapt to the production capacity, there will be multiple identical Cell lines (instead of the previous concept of large lines, which had only one line with high production capacity). The corresponding concept of automated workstations is to be automated and intelligent and try to complete as many processes as possible. Cell includes a few automated workstations and manual workstations.

 

Each workstation is shown in the figure (this only shows the general principle, and the specifics may vary depending on the product)

 

1) The automatic conveyor belt connects the automated workstations of the upper and lower processes, and transfers products and fixtures into and out of the automated workstations.

2) XYZ servo system/SCARA robot (for flat assembly) or 6-axis robot for three-dimensional assembly

3) Feeder, Tray Feeder, coil feeder, bulk material vibration feeder, screw feeder, etc. used in the process

4) The equipped working module includes replaceable vacuum suction heads, chucks, locking screw bits, dispensing heads, pressing heads, test heads, etc., Z and angle R compensation

5) Upper machine vision is used for product XY and angle compensation detection, and assembly status monitoring

6) Lower vision is used for XY and angle compensation detection after picking up materials

7) According to the assembly requirements, replaceable assembly jig can be made reversible if necessary.

8) Sensor detection, laser height sensor

 

**The workstation is divided into XYZ servo workstation or SCARA robot workstation, which is suitable for plane assembly, and the 6-axis robot workstation is suitable for three-dimensional assembly.
