For the production of general-purpose sensors, the basics remain unchanged, that is, the quantity is large and the process is fixed, so it should be appropriate to set up a fully automatic production line. For non-universal sensors, for example, sensors for each type of car are not universal. Although the functions and parameters are similar, the shape or certain processes are different, and the quantity within the life of each car is fixed. Investment in automated production lines requires different layouts.

Generally, sensor manufacturers will produce similar sensors at the same time, but with different shape details. The process equipment used is basically the same, such as laser welding and marking, spot welding, hot melt equipment, and testing instruments used by Waltrontech. Their cost is quite high. It would be very expensive to use a separate set of sensors for each type.

Plus the sensor uses wire handling equipment, although automated production is possible. However, the cost of automatically transporting wires and various types of parts to various processing stations is too high. In the run-in with major sensor production companies, the most cost-effective layout method is automated stand-alone machines. Each automated equipment completes one or more tasks, and then manual connections are made between the stand-alone machines to load and unload materials. A single machine needs to be compatible with different product manufacturing, for example, it can replace different IC automated molding fixtures, positioning fixtures, welding hot melt fixtures, detection fixtures, etc.

Due to the high requirements of sensor production, manual intervention between individual machines is prone to errors. Therefore, a monitoring system needs to be established. Each work station needs to monitor each product, and each product needs to be coded and tracked. NG products will be automatically recycled, locked, coded and recorded, and cannot be taken out at will to avoid mixing materials. Finished products need to be strictly re-inspected and recorded, etc. A complete management tracking record monitoring system is required.

Of course, each customer and each automated production line needs to follow the customer's specific requirements and design accordingly.
